Well, for one thing, we're an unofficial, fan-made website dedicated to one of the most popular Japanese Anime and Manga, Detective Conan; but, we are not affiliated with any official DC websites. DetectiveShinichi.com was made specifically for the English-speaking audience and to get them in on the latest news and content of Detective Conan, and to have tons of information and material on the series from Manga, Anime, and Movies.

DetectiveShinichi.com was also built out of inspiration by the series, and with us, we hope to make it as popular here once again, and to bring in newer episodes to the U.S. audience. Not only was DetectiveShinichi.com was built for all of that, it was built for the fans as well here in the U.S., since there aren't as much here and not as much aren't active, nor professional. We built DetectiveShinichi.com to combine both the fan and professional atmosphere, and to hopefully encourage more DC fan sites to sprout up more often.

In December 2008, we launched version 2.0 of Detective Shinichi, and we've also launched the world's first anime-based AND the very first Detective Conan website specifically for the iPhone/iPod Touch! It was built for DC fans who have an Apple iPhone, an iPod Touch, and other mobile phones so they can get the latest news and updates from our site where ever they are on the planet! We will soon make Movies @ DetectiveShinichi.com available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and other mobile phones! So we hope to jam in as much things on our Mobile site as we do on our original website!

A little after a year from its existance (Detective Shinichi was launched on May 9th, 2008), we have dramatically changed our format of our site to also include news from other anime and manga and in the real world. With this kind of format, we needed a professional-style website and a better CMS (Content Management System). So we've decided to switch from Wordpress to Joomla, since Joomla has more of a professional news capability standards than Wordpress, which is more for blogging capabilities. With this in mind, we'll be updating our Mobile site to meet our standards in delivering news and content.
