There has been discussion around the Detective Conan realm about Funimation continuing to dub more Case Closed Episodes. Funimation plans on releasing 5 Seasons onto DVD sets, with there episode count instead of the original episode count since some episodes are an hour or two hours long; from what we have heard, they might go with the original episode count, who knows. All 5 DVD sets will contain all the episodes that have been dubbed so far, up to 130 episodes. Funimation has stated that IF the Case Closed DVD box sets sell well, they plan on dubbing more episodes for it. They also have plans to dub Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century, but there is no word yet on when it’ll be released.

So if you’re a big Detective Conan fan, make sure you get these DVD sets, and tell your friends that like Detective Conan to get them so Funimation can bring and dub more episodes of Case Closed for the U.S. audience.

The first Detective Conan video game to be released on the Nintendo Wii console, Detective Conan: The Mirapolis Investigation will be the very first Detective Conan video game to be released outside of Japan. The game will hit stores around Europe in September 2008; however, it will only be released in Europe, so their is no word if it’ll reach the U.S. shores.

The game is about Shinichi/Conan goes to the theme park of Mirapolis to see the grand opening along with his friends. However, the grand opening suddenly becomes a crime scene, and Shinichi/Conan is on the case to solve the Mirapolis case. There are also several mini-games whenever you want to break from the main game.

Funimation recently has announced that it’ll release the first two Detective Conan movies into a double-feature DVD set, which is scheduled to be released on October 7th, 2008. There will be two discs instead of a two-sided, one disc. CLICK HERE to pre-order the set today!

VIZ Media, an American Distributor of manga from InuYasha, Naruto, Bleach, to Detective Conan, has expanded its business and will now produce full-length feature films withy Hollywood. Since major studios are starting to expand into the wide world of anime and manga, with the help of Speed Racer and the upcoming anime/manga film, Dragonball, more studios will start picking up the trend and start turning anime and manga stories into live-action films.
